Overview

The main goal of the CIRCLEAR project is to develop the RUCONBAR-APA integrated solution as a static barrier for noise and air pollution abatement. The new integrated system is comprised of two eco-innovative solutions: RUCONBAR (Rubberized Concrete Noise Barriers) and APA (Air Pollution Abatement).

RUCONBAR tackles the problem of noise pollution and waste car tires by incorporating rubber granules in noise absorption layer, while APA technology abates most pollutants of the ambient air using only water, reducing traffic pollutants and dust for improved air quality through chemical-physical-mechanical integrated process.
